It was not good. I don't recommend renting it.
Coming into the property, we were greeted with a bottle of wine and some fruit bars. It is in a quiet neighborhood
This is not a 5-star property. I would say it's a two-star. The owners constantly messaged us, asking us to leave them a 5-star review. This persisted even after we had been gone for days. It went beyond solicitation and was in bad taste. A property should be rated on its merits, not by pressure from the owners or host. It said it was pet-friendly, but on the day of check-in, we received a notice that a pet was an additional $150. This completely ruined our check-in experience. Instead of relaxing, I spent the evening going through the listing and correspondence looking for the pet deposit, but found nothing. The shower was the worst I have been in at any bnbs. It is completely unacceptable. The shower rod was completely rusted. The walls where the rod anchors were atrocious. Lots of botched patchwork and stains. The drain and hair trap were missing. I literally told my girlfriend that it looked like the shower from the movie Psycho. It has a grill, but it is gross. The cooking surface, cover, and cabinet were covered in dirt and grime. Also, in the house rules, it says if the propane tank is empty, then it's the guest's responsibility to purchase a new one. In the master bedroom, the cables and router box were blocking the closet door from closing. The two bedrooms' furniture had lots of wear and scratches, like something purchased from a flea market. Lots of the dishes are chipped. It has a college dorm-size microwave. The heat/ac vents are completely blocked with filth from the filter not being changed. I found the couch and the upstairs carpet to be kinda gross. No dish rags, and only one dish towel. No cleaning supplies, but their checkout list included more to-do items than I am used to. Meal prep utensils and tools were not present or did not work. The can opener did not even work. I did not see or smell any chemicals in the hot tub, so it seemed sketchy.
