  Bad experience- miscommunication

  The location is nice and the house overall is decent.

  I had a bad experience . There was a whole miscommunication with the host - He doesn't speak English and doesnt even live in the country, so the whole contact with him was with Google translate (he wrote in German). The house was missing some things mentioned on the booking page, like AC for example- the whole top floor where all 3 bedrooms located, lacks AC , and we stayed in summer so it eas very hot sleeping there at night. And finally, he wrote to us we shall pay with cash only even though on the booking page written "cash is not accepted". So when I asked him about it, he started being rude with the answers, threatening me, addressing me as if I am a thief and not going to pay him (while all I was asking is just about ("why only cash") So overall I had a bad experience with this place. Never happened to me begone with booking

  The only good thing about the home

  The location being so close to the mountains and good hiking opportunities was the best thing about the property.

  The property wasn’t clean. There were dead bugs everywhere and the property was cluttered. It felt like the owner had just moved out for a couple of days. The hot tub was cloudy and couldn’t be used and the shower and sauna windows were also dirty. Towels smelt musty. It was hard to cook in the kitchen. There wasn’t a lot of kitchen equipment. There were only 3 bowls for example. They were also short on supplies like toilet paper. When I contacted the host to ask about payment I was told that we would need to pay in cash as we had on our previous two nights. The host then messaged me while we were away from the home saying that the cleaner was there to collect payment and became aggressive when I hadn’t answered my messages because I hadn’t seen them. They hadn’t asked previously when would be good to come by. The cleaner then came back and knocked on the door and came into the home without being invited. I understood wanting to get paid, but it felt so intrusive and our other hosts had just allowed us to leave the money when we vacated the homes and assumed this would work the same way. The host also never mentioned the residency tax and never helped us to take care of that.
