Terrific location, all of the elements needed for a great visit, but don't go if it recently rained.
The house was in a great location and included amenities needed for a convenient, comfortable stay. The owners sounded friendly and helpful.
The house was described as having 3 bedrooms, but the entire lower level, where 2 of the bedrooms were and the second bathroom, was completely unusable - it reeked. The owner knew about the problem and there were even reviews about the smell from a full year ago - and yet they did not alert renters to the problem or even leave instructions for how to mitigate the stench. Instead, they waited for us to tell them AFTER we arrived and had been expecting to use the downstairs, and then they sent a list of things we could do to make the downstairs usable. While helpful, none of that was in the description and of course, the price reflected the full use of the house, not just the main floor or the actions we would have to take to be able to use the lower floor. When we alerted the owner to the problem, they made no offer to adjust the price to match the (significantly) less space available.

We had a very nice relaxing weekend.
We loved the very large bathroom, the deck, the fireplace and the location.
Need a little better organization in the kitchen. Almost anything needed is there but may be hard to locate.

A beautiful upgraded cabin with a new kitchen, bath, and great location.
Loved the upper level of the cabin! Completely renovated and fully stocked. Did not use the lower level at all. The ramp into the cabin was great, and the cart left in the entrance was very convenient and useful for bringing in and out necessities. Mattres was extremely comfortable and shower was amazing! Location was great. Very close to Deep Creek State Park where we love to go! Not too far from the other state park and waterfalls. Also close to Honi Honi that we love.
Brought my dog and the sparse number of rails on the deck was concerning. She's a hunting dog and when she would see critters around the cabin she wanted to jump off the deck! Needless to say we didn't spend much time there. Did not use the lower level of the cabin at all. Wanted to do laundry down there but I couldn't get past the musty smell. Did not use the hot tub or fire pit. But I would recommend some chairs around the pit. Only thing there currently are cement blocks to sit on. Not very comfy.
