  No mountain view, no soundproofing – dated and worn instead of “new and modern”

  We would not book this apartment again and cannot recommend it. There are several lodges in Whistler Creekside, just 100–400 metres away as the crow flies, offering much better accommodation at comparable prices. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend considering these alternatives instead. There is simply no reason to settle for a dated, poorly maintained apartment at this price when much better options are available so close by.

  Unfortunately, the apartment did not match the description and presentation on Booking.com in several important respects. It was advertised as new, bright and modern, but in reality we found it dated, noticeably worn and in need of maintenance. There were poorly patched holes in the walls, a chipped bathtub, construction materials and empty packaging left in cupboards, as well as significant cleanliness issues. We paid approximately CAD 1,600 for four nights in July 2026. At this price, we expected a genuinely modern, well-maintained and, above all, clean apartment – especially since it was explicitly advertised as new and modern. What we found was nowhere near what we had been led to expect. More importantly, some specifically advertised features were simply not there. There was no mountain view as advertised, and in our experience the apartment certainly did not have the advertised “soundproof walls”. For us, these were not just minor cosmetic or cleaning issues. The actual condition and key features of the apartment differed so significantly from the listing and the overall impression it gave that we decided not to stay. We left on the evening we arrived, moved our family to another accommodation for the entire stay and informed the host immediately. The way our complaint and refund request were handled afterwards was also extremely disappointing and dragged on for weeks despite us reporting the issues immediately. As no satisfactory resolution was offered, we have had to pursue the matter through formal dispute channels to recover our money. Afterwards, we also noticed other critical reviews mentioning some of the same issues, including the lack of soundproofing, the damaged bathtub and the generally worn condition of the apartment. In light of our own experience and these similar reports, we find the numerous perfect-score reviews difficult to understand. We would not book this apartment again and cannot recommend it.

  Great well located place with an easy layout. Beds and pillows were super comfy and was very cleaned. Booking and communication were prompt and clear.

  The washroom needed a bit of TLC. 2 out of 3 light bulbs were out, and the bath tub coating is peeling off.
