Lovely Cabin poorly run, scammed
Location and Privacy was great couldn’t fault.
Unfortunately the owner Sarah has let the stay down for us. We visited Croftner for 3 nights, 3 days before arrival we was demanded to pay and extra £75 for our Dogs to stay at our “dog friendly” cabin. This was not made clear within the original booking only after they have taken your money. Arrival was easy and simple. We left out dogs in the cabin while we went food shopping and collecting out dinner. We had 10 missed calls and a very snotty message from Sarah saying our dogs were distressed, one of which is a puppy crate trained cocker spaniel, a 7 year old lab and a 9 year old springer spaniel. We was then told dogs were not aloud to be left by then selfs which is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. Me and My wife both work full time and our 3 children all in school so our dogs are used the being left on there on with no issues. Sarah we felt was snooping round our lodge and this was justified the next morning while me and my wife was relaxing Sarah walked into our lodge garden and into our cabin to find a previous stays Amazon fire stick she proceeded to check the already working hot tub, we felt she wanted to snoop more around our cabin even to the point we left windows open to air out our cabin while we was walking the dogs we would come back and they would be closed from the inside. After leaving we have been changed £50 for damages we was unaware of nor have been given proof so this will be an open case with booking.com

Wow from start to finish!
We had a fantastic 3-night stay at Croftner as a couple with our dog, and it honestly exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless – the check-in process was really easy and stress-free. We were also greeted with some lovely, thoughtful touches which made a great first impression: a basket with dog biscuits and a towel for our dog, and for us there were shortbread biscuits, a bottle of Prosecco, as well as milk, tea, coffee and sugar all provided. The lodge itself is finished to such a high standard – the facilities are excellent and everything has clearly been very well thought out. The decor strikes that perfect balance of being stylish and cosy, making it feel like a real home from home rather than just a holiday let. One of the standout features for us was the outdoor space. The large lawn area was ideal and, importantly, secure, so we could relax knowing our dog could wander around safely. The hot tub was another highlight – even though the weather wasn’t on our side and we had a fair bit of rain, it didn’t matter at all as it’s covered, which meant we could still enjoy it in comfort. The location is also spot on. It’s within walking distance of Braunton, which is really handy, and only about a 5-minute drive to Saunton Sands, which is incredibly dog-friendly and perfect for long beach walks. A special mention to Sarah as well – we had forgotten our Amazon Fire Stick remote, and she went out of her way to source one for us, which was hugely appreciated and made a big difference to our stay. Overall, Croftner is a brilliant place to stay – relaxing, well-equipped, and very dog-friendly. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Great place to come for a couples retreat.
The property was in a great location. The town of Braunton had a nice selection of shops and its was only a few minutes from some beautiful beaches. The hot tub was kept at the perfect temperature and the inclosed garden would be great for anyone with dogs. The inside was well furnished and styled. In the modern kitchen we didn’t find anything missing that we needed, we cooked a few nights and ate out some others. The bed was comfortable and my wife loved the dual sinks and the large bath and separate shower. The electric car charger was a great addition and meant we didn’t have to find one of the few local chargers. Overall, the property was perfect for a couple who wanted a half term getaway.
The only thing that could really be improved was the fact that sofa was particularly very comfortable.
