    very comfortable, good and reasonably priced food and A1 staff.

    Every thing went superbly. The suite I had included a wet room which was ideal as I do have mobility issues. I opted for the full English breakfast. But the choice was quite extensive. The evening meals were varied and were really good value for money. My cousin and his wife were in another suite and all 3 of us had stayed at The Crown last year as well so we knew what to expect and we were not disappointed

    Friendly, comfortable, and very well run pub

    Very friendly, helpful, and efficient staff. Comfortable and clean room with plenty of space and modern fittings. Bed extremely comfortable. Hot shower and bath. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Full English with high quality local ingredients. Varied dinner menu, again with locally sourced produce. Well kept Butcombe beer. On site parking.

    We had a fantastic stay at the Crown Inn at Tolldown! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was an absolute highlight and genuinely exceeded our expectations! The trout was outstanding, and the chicken with chorizo was equally delicious. The only minor downside was getting back onto the main road in the morning. Traffic was very busy, making a right turn almost impossible. Apart from that, a wonderful experience with excellent food and lovely staff. We’d happily stay here again!
