We contacted the hotel before booking to specifically request two rooms next door to each other due to our son’s anxiety. This was an important factor in making our booking. On arrival, we were told the rooms were two doors apart, only to discover that they were actually on opposite sides of the building. When we raised this with staff, we were told they would look into it and try to sort something out. Unfortunately, we never heard anything further. We were also disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, as it wasn’t as clean as we would have expected. On top of this, there was a loud noise coming from the private room next door, which affected our comfort during the stay. Overall, the experience was disappointing. We understand that requests cannot always be guaranteed, but we had made our needs clear before booking and expected better communication, cleanliness and consideration. The lack of follow-up from staff was particularly frustrating, especially given the reason we had requested rooms next door to each other. Sadly, our stay fell short of expectations, and we would have expected a much better standard of service and accommodation. We left sooner than we'd have liked.
