    Booking wasn't accommodated, woken up by a stranger in our room, and staff did the bare minimum.

    The driving force behind choosing the Crown Plaza is its location, which is five stars for our needs when visiting the South Hills. The rooms are clean and the common areas are nice.

    When booking the room five months in advance, we requested to be in the front section of the facility, but we were instead put un the long term stay area in the back. The staff was rude and unapologetic, and our early booking didn't seem to make a difference. As it turns out, our trepidation with staying in the back was reinforced when someone accessed our room through the adjoining room door at 1:50am while we were sleeping. We managed to scare them out, but the staff did nothing to investigate, and we had to argue to get moved to another room in the front, like we had originally booked. That night was complimentary, but we didn't receive the staff support that I would've been expecting following a room breach. We didn't notify Bethel Park police but may have in retrospect based on the apathetic reaction from the staff. One of the two elevators being down for maintenance for our entire stay didn't add anything to our experience either.
