Not anywhere near relaxing as we had anticipated and hoped for. Thank you to the wonderfully talented chefs and the staf
Food was excellent, the staff were all great, reception, bar, waiter, receptionist in the spa and the lovely maid.
The spa does not look anything like the photos advertised. The whole area needs to be updated. Tiles missing in lots of places and looked very grubby and uninviting. The steam room door is not fitted correctly so does not get hot. As the spa is in the basement it just looks dark and dreary. Only 2 relaxing chairs and then 2 individually placed upright chairs if you did want to sit and relax between swimming/steam/jacuzzi. The lifts do not work so everyone had to use the service lifts, we appreciate from time to time work has to be done and things do go wrong but the back way was awful, the staff are trying to do their jobs and need lifts but it meant you were waiting longer and stopping at each floor and couldn’t always get in due to trollies and stock taking up all the room. Also just the one lift in such a big hotel. We were happy to use the stairs, we were on the 6th floor so not everyone would be able to, however these were awful. As the main lift was out of action for so long, we were told 4 weeks already, the stairs and service lifts should have been cleaned and made more welcoming both visually and more fragrant.

A good place for a one night stay.
The location as it’s so near the theatres. Very large bed. Good linen
Only one lift working. Long queues at times. We walked down from floor 7 but needed the lift for going up with cases etc.

The on going work to the property I booked four massages for me & my sons only to have them cancelled Which was very disappointing for a complex this size
