Our stay was perfect and we created some wonderful memories. Cruck cottage definitely contributed to those.
This was a charming property, which was very well positioned in Pickering. The cottage was very well equipped and had everything you could need. It was perfect for our family break.
The parking was tricky and ended up a short walk from the property a few times. The sap from the tree lined road makes a mess of your car too.

A Charming Historic Cottage That Felt Like Home
What a wonderful stay! This beautiful, 300-year-old cottage was everything we hoped for and more. Full of history, character, and charm, it was cozy, exceptionally clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. We felt right at home! The location was fantastic—an easy walk into the lovely town of Pickering, with a pub just across the street. We especially enjoyed the beautiful sunroom and back garden, which added to the cottage’s welcoming atmosphere. The soaking tub was absolutely heavenly, and the lovely, beautifully scented bath products were such a nice touch! We also appreciated the abundance of mirrors—a surprisingly thoughtful detail in a historic cottage, especially with three women getting ready for a 1940s-themed weekend! Communication with our hosts was excellent throughout. They were friendly, responsive, and helpful, even with our last-minute questions about extending our stay. We absolutely loved our time here. The cottage was a wonderful home away from home and made our visit to this beautiful part of England even more memorable. We would happily stay again and highly recommend it!
We genuinely have no complaints! Everything was lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay
