    Nice cave apartment for exploring surrounding area

    The apartment is nicely made, with much care to evoke the cave-experience. The bathroom is a cave in cave and is great. You are in the middle of the Badlands, which experienced hikers can explore directly from the house. Note that you do need to have an active hiking app to find the paths, and that it is not possible to reach anything close by car ( 7 hour hikes for the red hills). The views from the road to Gorafe is spectacularly beautiful. There is a seating area in front of your house with a great view. We were with two but there are two bedrooms, each with a large bed so for larger companies it is good value.

    There is not really a garden. You are on a hill, with two neighboring cave apartments, but that is not a garden as everything around you has largely overgrown with thorny plants. Also, guests park there care there. The roof part of the house should be a second seating area, but hard to reach because the path to go up is also overgrown with thorny plants. There is also no sunshade there. In the listing the property states it has a hot tub which it does not have. There is this little square sitting pool, visible on the photo's. You can clean out birth droppings yourself and figure out how to fill it up and circulate the water. The photo's of the seating areas outside make everything appear nicer than it really is so the place is really for exploring the area and not so much for relaxing on the spot. The air circulation for the cave makes a lot of noise, you can figure out yourself if you want to shut it off. There is really nothing in the kitchen so bring everything. I send the contact a long list with small reparations that are needed so hopefully those are fixed soon.

    Leuke ervaring om in grotwoning te verblijven.

    De ligging en het soort woning.

    Het lawaai van het ventilatiesysteem, te weinig/geen koffie en thee (1 zakje thee voor 4 personen voor 2 nachten). Geen informatie m.b.t. WiFi en drinkwater. Ook jammer dat we de gastvrouw niet gehoord of gezien hebben. Bovendien was de sleutel niet op de afgesproken plaats.
