  Would not stay again even if that meant not visit Christchurch

  This place has a very good ranking on booking.com but unfortunately I had a bad experience. I stayed for 2 nights. To find where to park the car is painful, if you have a car, consider a place with parking included. But this is not their fault. They don’t advertise parking. I stayed in 2 very cold days, real feel was -3°C one of the days. When I arrived around 8pm the place was freezing. I turned the central heating on. After 3hrs the lounge, kitchen and toilet which are downstairs were still cold. The bedroom upstairs was ok, not warm enough for a machine that was working for 30°C though. I used the hair dryer to heat myself otherwise could not fall asleep. During the night the bedroom got very hot and the downstairs area was still cold, the unit seems to only work upwards. I messaged the customer service, I explained the issues with the heating and asked for a heater for the lounge area. They asked me to email an email address, I did. After that, after emails and follow up messages, I was ignored. Until today I am still waiting to hear about the heater or a response to the other issues. They asked me for a photo of the remote of the central heating, not sure why since they never responded. Dishwasher was also not working it was presenting an error, we washed everything by hand which is fine, the problem is that the dishwasher was bleeping and blinking and we were unable to turn it off. So you can imagine how it was sleeping with this, the place is an open space. We could see the light and hear the sound all night. Washing machine, they advertise has having a dryer, it does not dry. I washed my clothes and 2 issues happened: One, the machine does a very very very loud sound, I never experienced anything like it, it’s worse than a plane. Two, I chose the dry program for 2hrs, not the air dry, the dry program, after 2hrs clothes were wet as when started. I sent them a video of this loud noise and told them about the dryer.

  There was also a very weird and unpleasant smell in the property. I aknowledge this can happen because people cook, so I can understand. The lack of response or support I can’t understand.

  Nice and cosy place, very close and walking distance to both the city centre and the stadium.

  Using dishwasher or washing machine water leaks from the bottom and sort of floods the entry way

  Perfect spot for 2

  Location was great, perfect size for 2 with good food options around. Relatively quiet spot and never heard any neighbours. Warm and comfy.

  Parking is problematic and wasnt something indicated in the listing, some little things in apt itself need a check, 1 eating bowl was a bit fickle and the oven would not give heat (even google was no luck).
