Great host, great place, highly recommend!

Claudio (and his dog) are fantastic! Picked us up at the airport, supplied us with an arrival gift, and was very helpful in explaining local restaurants, bus (tram) routes, and Venice ins and outs.

Loved the property. Authentic Italian is how I would describe it. The kitchen window that opens to the patio is great! The bedroom is upstairs so depending on the individual that could be tough with luggage.

Needs a thorough cleaning and entirely new bedclothes

The hosts were really kind and responsive, and immediately addressed the issues I reported during my stay. The shower is large, which is unusual for Italy.

The worst part was that the bedsheets -- including the mattress pad, pillow covers and pillows, and some of the blankets -- were old and smelled like they hadn't been cleaned since the last guests had stayed there. Even after getting new sheets, some of the smell lingered. Also, there was dust under all the furniture, and the curtains were grimy with dust, and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a decade. I had some small bites that weren't from mosquitos on my legs while I was there and for a couple days after I left. Given the general uncleanliness of the apartment, they might have been flea bites, though I can't say for sure. The most awkward aspect of the apartment is that even though the hosts are very nice, the unit is a duplex and they live in the other half of the duplex from the apartment. Also, the unit is divided into three levels, with the kitchen and dining room on the bottom level, the bathroom on the middle level, and the bedroom on the top level, which is inconvenient. All the appliances in the kitchen -- especially the fridge -- were small and ancient. And, all the furniture in the apartment is really old, and crowds the space considerably. If the place hadn't cost as much, I wouldn't be as bothered, but I expect better for the price.

Great host very friendly. Location has good direct connection with Venice.

Furniture is very old. Kitchen was at best shape.
