Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns bei allen Fragen gerne weitergeholfen. Die Unterkunft befindet sich in einer sehr guten Lage, sodass man viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und andere Orte bequem zu Fuß erreichen kann.
Leider war die WLAN-Qualität sehr schlecht, sodass die Verbindung ständig abgebrochen ist. Um eine einigermaßen stabile Verbindung zu bekommen, mussten wir ständig unseren Standort wechseln oder das WLAN an unseren Handys mehrmals aus- und wieder einschalten. Für Touristen ist das natürlich sehr unpraktisch, zumal es nicht wirklich sinnvoll ist, für jedes Familienmitglied eine marokkanische SIM-Karte zu kaufen. Außerdem gab es keinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Gerade bei den hohen Temperaturen in Marokko ist das sehr unpraktisch. Wenn man Wasser kauft, wird es ohne Kühlschrank sehr schnell warm, sodass man es entweder sofort trinken oder erneut gekühltes Wasser im Hotel kaufen muss. Wir haben außerdem eine große Kakerlake im Badezimmer gefunden. Auch die Türklinke unserer Zimmertür war defekt, sodass wir die Tür jedes Mal von unten mit dem Fuß festhalten mussten, um sie richtig zu schließen.

Beautiful, comfortable and peaceful haven close to the medina. Soufiane could not have been more attentive and helpful, taking lots of time to help orient me within Fes so I could make the most of my stay, and the other staff were also wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and delicious, and my Queen room was superbly appointed. The on-site rooftop restaurant for dinner was also such an asset.
I found the medina itself overwhelming, but I think that is Fes! If you're a woman travelling alone, be sure to organise tours, guides and taxis (Dar Fes Tresor will help with this!), even if you're very accustomed to travelling independently. I didn't feel unsafe, but I did frequently feel uncomfortable and hassled. I was glad to have my beautiful room to retreat to!
