Excellent value, wonderful host, brilliant location
We were upgraded when we arrived to the deluxe suite and it was a beautiful, clean room, with a really comfortable bed. Great value for money. Bed was made fresh every day and bathroom toiletries, which were basic (shower gel and shampoo), were restocked every day too. Reda was our host and super helpful. You can ask him anything and he's incredibly generous with his time and effort. Very trustworthy riad manager. The riad is beautifully decorated - very much in keeping with the traditional, authentic style. It's like staying at a family's home and you get treated like family too. The rooms were quiet and had AC, the wifi was super strong so I could work on Zoom calls while I was there. On our last day, we had to leave very early and Reda woke up to give us a packed breakfast he had prepared the night before and said goodbye.
The riad was in an excellent location in the centre of the old city, but the streets to get to it often smelt bad. This did not transfer at all to the experience in the riad however, which was exceptionally clean.

Staff were so friendly and helpful! Booked a transfer from the station for us (probably cheaper with mini taxi or InDrive app) and met us to show the way. Very good English spoken and so so helpful in suggesting highlights for our short stay (even bookmarking on MAPS.ME!). Riad is just off one of the main streets so easy to find again! And easy to walk to key locations (the recommended madrasa was amazing) Beautiful inside. And a wonderful view from the roof terrace - we enjoyed a thunderstorm and rainbow over the city. We had the double room off the reception and it had the steep wooden stairs to a huge bathroom with fabulous shower and dual sinks. Breakfast was also excellent.

Rien Oh si deux vieilles célibataires clientes râleuses qui nous ont gâché notre petit déjeuner Mais le Riad n’y est pour rien !!
