Great hotel & wellness facilities but very arrogant and unprofessional staff. Not a 5star experience
Great spa facilities, spacious room with a beautiful view and large balcony.
There was no suitable place to dry our wet swimwear, and the bathroom heating was switched off, meaning we had to put on damp swimsuits again each time we went swimming. Unfortunately, the attitude of the staff was particularly disappointing. They came across as unfriendly and, at times, rather arrogant. The overall experience was genuinely shocking. At a five-star hotel, I would expect to be treated as a valued guest, not spoken to or treated as if I were a child. I was questioned about why I had not finished my dinner, told where I was supposed to sit, and even reprimanded for using a different entrance to the terrace when there was another entrance directly in front of me. More importantly, I did not feel that food allergies were taken seriously enough. These repeated interactions made me feel extremely uncomfortable and, at times, even anxious when dealing with the staff. The hotel itself is beautiful, but unfortunately, the quality of service and the attitude of the staff fall well short of what one would expect from a five-star establishment. I regret to say that this experience has put me off returning in the future.

Our favorit hotel of all time
Das Goldberg has to be our favorite hotel of all time. We also came last year and the experience was as this year's, absolutely amazing. Everything is very clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the location of the hotel is great. We have been coming to Bad Hofgastein for 10 years now and this hotel's location is by far the best. Also, the natural lake and pool are superb.
