    A beautiful apartment in a great location, but not a hotel

    The apartment is located in the best possible place in Rome near the Spanish Steps, in a beautiful old building. It is Spacious and has everything you need to stay.

    THIS IS NOT A HOTEL. I am a single female traveler and was looking specifically for a hotel. Instead, this turned out to be an AirBnB-style apartment: a 3-bedroom apartment renovated and converted into three separate rooms with different bathrooms and locks, and a common kitchenette area. There is no reception at all, and it is difficult to leave the bags before or after the stay, as they will be left inside the common kitchenette area without anybody watching. You have to register online before you get in, and then they will send you an access code. If you don't have internet upon arrival, you need to write the code ahead of time somewhere to get in. I didn't sleep much before arriving, and couldn't remember where the code was, and the manager was unable to pick up the phone for 15 minutes, so it took me a long time to get in. I couldn't find where on the Booking.com description, it was indicated that there is no reception. I woudl still recommend this place for people who are Okay in staying in a apartment (vs hotel), as otherwise it was phenomenonal!
