    this feels like home away from home and staying with family.

    Del Pilar is a home away from home. Beautiful scenery great staff and wonderful villas. The hotel bar and resteraunt are the best. Stayed 4 days just to relax before Machu Pichu trek. Stay in a 2 bedroom villa very affordable. 100% recomend this place.

    Tranquilidad, naturaleza.

    Muy lindo el lugar, tranquilo. La habitación cómoda y amplia.

    Muy lejos de Ollantaytambo y no ofrecer transfer hacia el centro. El desayuno podría haber sido más completo.

    Not a 5 star hotel

    You are surrounded by nature with amazing views of the mountains. Beautiful gardens with alpacas roaming. They also have a game room.

    The service and the amenities are not for a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was not as varied and to get a cappuccino you had to pay on top. They didn’t provide any water in the room and charged us 9 soles for one bottle. The train to Machu Picchu is very close by so you will hear the noise. The location is far (this is our fault for not having properly checked before booking). The problem js that they charge you 95 soles (around 25 dollars) to do a 15 minute drive to the city centre which is a rip off. There is only a share public transport called Veronica that you can take but not everyone might feel comfortable with it.

    Beautiful setting with alpacas as a bonus! We were made to feel very special here.

    Beautiful setting, friendly and helpful staff who were lovely with the children and helpful to all of us. The kids even got to baptise some baby alpacas! We enjoyed our accommodation, the gardens and young kids play area, and the sitting room with pool table. All the staff were really helpful and made us feel very welcome.

    Just double check the route - google maps may not be reliable, and be aware the train line is close so the horn goes regularly but not all night.
