A very spacious, comfortable apartment in a good location.
Easy to gain access using the keysafe at the property which has a small courtyard area. NB: There are about 5 steps down to the apartment, which could be an issue for some. The property is quiet, clean, light and airy with all mod cons, obviously very recently furnished and decorated. There was a fridge with a small freezer compartment, as well as dishwasher, and hob etc. Tea and coffee was provided as well as some milk left for us in the fridge. Really nice touch, thank you. Beautiful bathroom with a great shower with strong water pressure, always a bonus! Firm but comfortable beds. Good ventilation/heating system. It was during the very hot spell of weather but this basement apartment was nice and cool, which was a great relief. Good location, close to bars and restaurants and the beach and promenade. It is a really lovely apartment.
Parking can be tricky. Although there is a small amount of on road parking close to the apartment, it is very busy. However, there is a side road near the apartment entrance to stop and offload luggage etc. The church car park nearby gets full quickly and as there is building work going on at the old university building (July 2026), a lot of construction workers seem to park there, exacerbating the limited parking. Having said that, we eventually did get a space, usually after the builders had finished work. Incidentally, in spite of the ongoing work close by, the apartment was very quiet. A small gripe: I felt that the pillows could have been more comfortable, they were a bit flat but it really wasn't a big issue, just something for the owners to consider.
