Sewage smell and mice in the house

The house looks nice and the location is good

We were really disappointed with this house. At first it looked nice and comfortable, but quickly we noticed a strong sewage smell coming from the kitchen and the upstairs bathroom — probably due to incorrect water connections. The smell was so bad that we couldn’t even use the shower upstairs. On top of that, we saw multiple mice inside the house. At first we tried to stay because we still wanted to explore Furnas, but after seeing even more mice the next day, we decided to leave. It had a real negative impact on our holiday and caused a lot of extra stress, especially for our kids. Unfortunately, we can’t recommend this place.

    Erg goed

Beautiful home in a great location but quite musty.

Beautiful property in a great location. Quality finishings throughout and the kitchen was well stocked. The king sized beds had premium mattresses, truly top quality.

Both the main house and the annex bedroom and bath were very musty. We were thankful for the dehumidifiers but the musty smell persisted. The 3rd bedroom in the house is definitely the ‘kid’ room with no mini-split which did not work well for a group of all adults.
