    Pleasant stay. Not a hotel!

    The location was excellent. The property is very old but beautifully kept and the shabby/chic interior design was most appealing. It was quiet and very clean.

    Our room was on the top floor, but we weren't informed of the 54 stone steps to get there. It being an old historic property, there was no lift. This didn't bother us, but this aspect shold be mentioned in the information given. The property is not a hotel as such. We arrived on Wednesday afternoon and that day the restaurant was closed. There was no reception area and no communal space where one could sit and have a drink or chat. Access information was given via Whatsapp. The room had no tea/coffee making facilities and as the retaurant downstairs was closed, one couldn't get ice, either. The property is primarily a well-known restaurant with rooms that offer accommodation. Our room had a rain shower which was rather ineffectual. However, there was a hand shower.
