A splendid stay accomodated by the friendly and helpful hosts - we felt at home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property which was in an ideal walking distance of Keswick's main restauraunts and shops. Vanessa the host was very attentive at breakfast to our needs and coffee taking and we were recommended walking routes which was very helpful and useful and made our stay all the more enjoyable. Our room was a twin room with a nicely sized bathroom and was beautifully clean upon our arrival. As we were staying for a week we were pleased that our request to have updated towels was accomodated after I had seen a review that new towels had not been provided by the host. Thoughtful touches such as a coffee facilities and even a tray for any muddy boots/shoes was provided in the room to accomodate for the practicailities of staying and walking in the lake district. We enjoyed breakfast and found our stay peaceful. A bonus of staying on this street which we weren't aware of is Hellvelyn's street bakery! Which we tried due to its recommendation and opening on one of our days staying in the Lakes. I would stay at the property again happily.
We stayed in a room on the highest floor of the property and whilst a fan was provided we still found the room uncomfortably warm during periods our stay in early August as the room alike many properties in the Uk was not air conditioned. Its possible that lower room may be cooler however we did not experience those to comment. It was our only gripe with our stay which we thoroughly enjoyed, and is to be expected during the hottest part of the summer!
