The location and pond behind the building exceeding my expectations. The terrace outside with the music and lights was so beautiful I only wish I came earlier in the season when it was open. Although we visited when the foliage is at its peek so I would have expected it to be open with heaters. The breakfast was more than enough and was delicious. The restaurant was beautiful but not open for dinner on Wednesday, again a disappointment since it was peak season. The person at the front desk was very friendly and professional and she gave us a good recommendation for a restaurant we could go to for dinner.
The room (#11) we had was not very nice. It looked like it had been thrown together at the last minute. The decor was shabby, there was an old carpet and a nightstand that had seen better days. And the beds did not have proper frames and we were slipping off one side when sleeping. When we left we saw a room with two twins (#9) and that was a decent room with proper night stands, bed lights, headboards, matching covers, etc. We booked a room with twin beds because it was available, it was not a special request. Once we saw the room we were very disappointed and we were not happy about paying the regular price for a room that was thrown together like that. It was obvious it used to have a king bed. Either we pay less or be told that the twin bed room was unavailable. Or decorate it properly with proper furnishing and lighting and carpet.
