  Friendly and helpful staff, but disappointing value for money, conference noise and outdated spa fac

  The hotel is conveniently located close to Glasgow city centre, and the room was spacious and reasonably comfortable. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful throughout my stay. They assisted me with my luggage both on arrival and departure and promptly arranged a taxi when I needed one. I particularly appreciated their kindness and willingness to help.

  The room rate was exceptionally high during my stay, apparently due to a conference taking place at the hotel, and I did not feel it offered good value for money. My room was on the sixth floor, where conference-related activities were also taking place. There was noticeable noise in the morning from people moving around the corridors and what sounded like furniture being moved, which disturbed the otherwise comfortable stay. The room's cleanliness was acceptable but not particularly impressive. I was also disappointed with the spa facilities. The changing rooms and surrounding facilities appeared very dated, poorly maintained and not as clean as I would have expected. The spa would benefit from significant refurbishment.

  Someone stole my wallet out of the locker in the leisure club. Dirty, poorly ran, dated, needing upgraded. Shower leaked in the room, bed was like sleeping on concrete.
