Unser Aufenthalt war ein ganz besonderes und unvergessliches Erlebnis, geprägt vom einzigartigen Charme des historischen
Das Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel begeistert mit einem unglaublich besonderen Ambiente und einzigartigen Flair, das durch die faszinierende Geschichte des historischen Schiffes geprägt wird. Es ist eine ganz besondere Art von Urlaub, die sich kaum mit den klassischen Resorts und Clubanlagen vergleichen lässt, die man sonst auf Bintan findet. Besonders der Charme der ursprünglichen Kabinen vermittelt das Gefühl, tatsächlich ein Stück Schifffahrtsgeschichte zu erleben. Hervorheben möchten wir außerdem die außergewöhnlich freundlichen und warmherzigen Mitarbeiter, durch die wir uns während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts sehr willkommen gefühlt haben. Auch der wunderschöne Pool mit seiner besonderen Atmosphäre hat uns begeistert und unseren Aufenthalt auf diesem außergewöhnlichen Schiff perfekt gemacht.
Wer klassischen Fünf-Sterne-Luxus ohne jegliche Mängel erwartet, ist hier jedoch vermutlich nicht ganz richtig. Das Hotel beziehungsweise Schiff hat, wie bereits erwähnt, eine lange Geschichte, und dazu gehört auch, dass einige Bereiche sichtbar gealtert sind und teilweise Rostspuren aufweisen. Für uns persönlich war gerade dies ein Teil des besonderen Charmes und hat die außergewöhnliche Atmosphäre des historischen Schiffes zusätzlich unterstrichen. Uns ist jedoch bewusst, dass andere Gäste dies möglicherweise anders empfinden und eher als Mangel bewerten könnten.

Unique hotel with more potential
The staff were friendly and helpful. We did the ship tour, which was interesting and worth doing if you stay. The pool is nice and a great spot to watch the sunset. The room was really nice. It's a unique hotel that has a lot more potential (they don't have watersports, pool bar is closed etc)
Air conditioning didn't work properly all stay and couldn't change rooms as fully booked. Pool bar is closed and the hotel is starting to look dated (furniture & dirty areas around the hotel). Food wasn't great (expensive for the quality) and breakfast options are limited. The gym is tiny. There is nothing to do at the hotel itself so make sure you plan excursions or other things to do
