    What a gem!

    We loved this property and would definitely return. From the moment we arrived Joachim and Cristina made us feel very welcome and right at home. The 200 year old cottage is just as described, in a wonderful location with the most fabulous outlook. We could not wait to return each evening after exploring the gorgeous Douro River region. It was so relaxing sitting on the large outside area having wine and nibbles while taking in the vista. We would highly recommend the train trip up the river (as well as a cruise of course!).

    It took us a few minutes to find the correct driveway as we had travelled from the opposite direction to the instructions we had been given. But we soon sorted it out. The hot water in the shower was difficult to regulate at times.

    Super tolle Unterkunft mit allem was man braucht. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist gigantisch. Unsere Vermieterin Christina und ihr Sohn haben uns sehr freundlich empfangen. Christina brachte uns am ersten Abend gleich eine Wassermelone aus ihrem eigenen Garten vorbei. Am letzten Abend verabschiedete sie sich mit leckeren Feigen aus ihrem Garten. Sie ist sehr herzlich, hat uns sehr viel über Ausflugsmöglichkeiten und das Land erzählt. Vielen lieben Dank Christina für alles.

    Lovely and well equipped studio with great outside space and fabulous views. Hosts could not have been more helpful.
