    Nosey conference people and not controlled by hotel staff conference is a good income but don’t forget the paying customers

    Nice grand location. Sweet staff. Quite remote

    Staff were nice - the building and grounds were grand. Breakfast was nice too!

    Dinner was bad - very pub like food. Service was slow and poor, the hotel is a wedding/ events venue but seemingly not set up to take the capacity it was taking for dinner/ breakfast.

    Beautiful hotel and delicious food, but the spa disappointed

    We stayed for one night to attend a wedding and thought the hotel was absolutely beautiful and clearly well cared for. The grounds were lovely to explore, with some magnificent ancient trees. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom. The food was absolutely delicious. We would happily stay at the hotel again.

    The room was quite hot, with no effective way to cool it down. The spa experience the following day was also disappointing. There weren’t enough loungers for everyone, so I spent most of my visit outside on one without a cushion. When I asked for cushioning, I was told it wouldn’t be brought out, yet cushions were later provided for other guests. That inconsistency left me feeling poorly treated. Although I would return to the hotel, I would be hesitant to use the spa again.
