It is a beautiful home in a lovely part of Toronto - Cabbagetown - close to public transit to get downtown. Dana is an exceptional host who is very attentive to her visitors needs. The room was very comfortable, very quiet and very clean. I would stay here again.

Very disappointed. Misleading information and pictures. Extremely overpriced for its level. Do not recommend.
This stay was very disappointing. The information in the webpage was very misleading. There was nothing that one can call luxury or retreat or even downtown in this establishment. It is located at cabbage town, which is about a mile away from the real downtown in an area with many homeless people. The owner is aware of this and informs the guests how to navigate in going on foot to the real downtown area. This is an old house that is renovated partially in an amateur way. There is no service and no cleaning whatsoever in the room. We had to complain and the owner came briefly once a day to wipe clean the sinks. We only had access to our room. The living room was locked and even a friend of ours who wanted to come in to pick us up was not allowed access. The soap and shampoo bottles in the room were almost empty as we came in with and we had to complain for them to be refilled. The windows are not renovated must be at least 100 years old. The closet was not reachable to hang clothes by guests less than 6 feet tall because the bar was unprofessionally placed very high. We had to place many requests to the owner and she did her best to comply, but the place was simply well below par. The TV was not working properly for the entire stay of four days. The network was very slow and the tv got stuck continuously plus the number of channels was extremely limited. I counted four or five channels that could be accessed, which is unacceptable for an establishment charging very high prices like this. I would never recommend this place. It is a very bad value for the money.
