Fantastic Stay for Proximity to the Tail! Follow the Rules though

Location is perfect for those that want to go into the Tail of the Dragon or the surrounding areas. Overall presentation was lovely and had the basics that one needs. There's a restaurant right next door so you can snag some breakfast and a nearby gift shop so there's a lot of conveniences within walking distance.

The manager was a bit quick to jump to assume the worst at times. Understandable since a lot of people weren't following the rules but my friends were in the middle of unpacking when the manager told them they needed to park at the overflow. They knew beforehand they just wanted to park closer temporarily to unload.

The location and the cool room decor. Also the extra attention given by having a snack tray, cookies and bottled water left in the fridge was a very nice surprise.

Walls are a little thin when your neighbors don't use their inside voices😂

I didn't stay at all, because I got kicked out for being a local.

I only came here for one night due to my house having an issue with the air conditioning, and wanted to stay in a place that would be cool and calm since I was being smothered with hot air every night. I was immediately kicked out because of a "no locals clause" which was never stated on the page. They tried to charge an additional $150 that I wasn't told about either, despite getting the number to open my hotel. Manager tried to say that they don't work on booking.com despite the fact I obviously used the site to get there. Because I took an uber, I couldn't get a new ride easily, and it took me another 3 hours to get someone. The sun was out, and it became dark enough that I couldn't see infront of me. Getting here means you go through The Dragon, a road infamous for its death toll. Buyer beware, and I hope you're aware now.

Literally everything. The fact they tried to deflect just about everything made me realize this place either isn't the place it used to be, or they are scamming people. Getting there through an uber felt like I was going to die at any second (being driven by someone who wasn't local didn't help either) and the overall area just felt threatening.
