  We had a lovely stay! The accommodation is in a great location, close to both the port and the train station, making it very convenient to get around. We are especially grateful to Vittorio for allowing us to check in early, which was very helpful. The balcony was a lovely bonus, and the apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We also really appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee and the warm hospitality. Everything was well organised, and we felt very welcome. Thank you, Vittorio, for making our stay pleasant!

  holiday completely ruined by unannounced major construction

  While the property itself is fairly new and would be fine under normal circumstances, the soundproofing between the two subdivided apartments is extremely poor. We could hear every noise from next door bathroom in our bedroom as if we were sharing the same room. The ants were a minor, temporary issue by comparison, but the complete lack of sound insulation severely impacted our stay and ability to rest.

  We were extremely disappointed that neither the host nor Booking.com permitted us to relocate after our 3rd night despite repeated requests. Failing to inform guests beforehand about major, ongoing construction directly below the flat is well below basic industry standards. We were woken up before 8:00 AM Monday through Saturday by heavy drilling and hammering, and kept awake late into the night by noise from the adjoining unit’s shower and washing machine coming straight through the paper-thin bedroom wall. To make matters worse, the kitchen was very poorly equipped. The non-stick pans provided were so severely scratched and peeling—exposing bare metal and posing a clear health hazard—that they should have been thrown away long ago and were completely unusable. Between the non-existent soundproofing, early-morning construction, and substandard amenities, this property in its current state fails to meet basic standards for a holiday rental.

  The flat was located very close to the centre of town (but not near enough for sound to be an issue), near several supermarkets and restaurants and was very cozy overall. The flat was a good size and had very good air-con to deal with the heat. There were also enough cutlery, plates and cooking equipment for me and my partner to cook with. :)
