    Dumpster Fire

    Drury’s are always some of the cleanest properties and this time was the same. Our room was spotless, including the bedding. Great 5:20 Kickback dinner offered, plus evening drinks & popcorn.

    Usually the staff is exceptional. Unfortunately when we checked in on Sunday, 10/18 the front desk clerk was having issues with another guest whose room was wrong and staff member was upset. She complained to us about the other guest and complained she needed more help at the desk, which dele a little unprofessional and not like the warm welcome from most locations. Towels were also out in the pool area and were waiting to be dried. There was also family in the pool area basically taking the whole thing over with their loud music blaring on a speaker, making it unpleasant for other guests to enjoy. Staff also come been faster at replenishing meal items. And the stay ended with a literal dumpster fire on Monday, 10/19 in the parking lot. Thankfully we were already about to check out, but other guests were still sleeping and had to evacuate outside when the inside fire alarm went off as well.

    I expected a more comfortable experience than I had.

    I asked clarifying questions at the registration desk. The clerk was very patient with me however, the manager that night, a man, stood there and mean-mugged me as if he were security. I felt intimidated and uncomfortable. After successfully booking the room, I gathered my luggage, entered the elevator to go to my room. The elevator stopped on a lower floor. As the elevator door opened, there he was again. We did not exchange words, yet he stood there mean-mugging me again. He made me very uncomfortable that night.
