It was our first stay at a Drury hotel. Definitely also our last.
The location was convenient.
My wife and I picked Drury for our stay in Savannah bbased on recommendations from family who had stayed there a couple of times. (Pretry much all of the other hotels within a 15-minute radius had consistently negative reviews with regard to cleanliness.) When we got settled into our room, we noticed that the sheets were stained (appeared to be blood stains). A few minues later, my wife spotted several german cockroaches crawling on the walls. (We lived in Savannah for 15 years, and definitely know the difference between those and 'Palmetto Bugs'.) This room (515) was also on the fifth floor, so bugs weren't just simply crawling in from outside. We requested to be moved to a different room, which also had very visible bodily fluid stains on the top surfaces of the bed sheets. It would have been impossible for someone who was paying even the least bit of attention and had average eyesight to not notice these stains when putting the sheets on the bed. We noped out within three hours of checking in and had to make last minute arrangements to share a single twin bed at a family member's house for the night. I've stayed at numerous hotels and 'bare basics' hostels throughout the U.S., Europe, the middle east, and Asia. Drury is the only one I've not felt comfortable staying the night in.
