  Good location but old & tired

  The apartment is walking distance to all the main attractions. There’s air conditioning in the two bedrooms which is great because Florence can be humid & rooms become stuffy very quickly. There’s a washing machine which is great if, like us, you’re travelling for many weeks.

  We stayed in Duomo Apartment Sandrose last week for four nights. We booked an apartment so that we could cook some meals & not eat out constantly because we’re a family of four adults. The first night we put on a load of clothes washing & turned on the oven to cook some homemade pizzas. Having both appliances on at the same time repeatedly blew the power fuse so we were in complete darkness until we found the fuse box outside the front door & managed to troubleshoot. We then had to wait until we’d finished with the oven before turning on the washing machine again. The kitchen has pots & pans & cutlery but there’s absolutely no bench space to chop food other than the kitchen sink & then there’s nowhere to put dishes. There was only one t-towel provided & a small tube of dishwashing liquid which made it difficult to keep things clean & tidy. We stopped using the toilet near the main bedroom because it didn’t flush properly & made a terrible noise each time. The shower recess filled with a pool of water every time we took a shower because the drain is obviously blocked. There’s not one single hook anywhere in the bathroom to hang a wet towel or hand towel. We would rate the comfort of the bed at about 6/10. We couldn’t get Netflix or Prime or any other networks to work on the television. Lastly, you won’t find the accommodation using Google maps. This will take you 150m or so down the road from this accommodation. We had to ask local cafe owners for directions to find the place & you would really struggle to find it at night. There’s also two flights of stairs to carry suitcases up so this may be a consideration for some people. We loved the location but the accommodation is old & tired & not very good value for money. We wouldn’t stay here again.

  Apartamento cómodo muy bien situado

  La ubicación es fantástica, se puede ir andando a cualquier parte del centro histórico y está muy cerca de la parada de tranvía que conecta con el aeropuerto y con la estación de tren si te apetece hacer algún viaje a Siena o Pisa...

  Parecía más bonito en las fotos, no es que esté mal, ni mucho menos y las camas eran muy cómodas, pero sé veía con más encanto en las fotos

  Overall was a decent and affordable place to stay, wished it was cleaner and cooler.

  The property is in a prime location, we were close to everything we wanted to do which was very convenient.

  The property was not the cleanest- the floors were dirty and our feet became black while walking on the floors barefoot. Additionally, the air conditioner units had a lot of dust in them which caused us to have allergy issues; we could not turn them off because it was so hot. The air conditioners also did not get as cold as we would prefer, adjusting the temperature on the remote did not seem to make a difference. In the master bathroom shower, the drain is clogged and water would accumulate on the shower floor as it was turned on.
