    Montreux comfort

    Convenient Montreux location, higher up, away from the lake, by a bit more than a comfy walk. The unit was spacious for >4 adults, had a fully functional kitchen, laundry facilities, and for an older structure the doors/windows worked surprisingly well. We found it charming.

    Air conditioning was hard to find in Montreux, at the last minute. We looked exclusively and were a little disappointed. Stand alone interior A/C units need to exhaust their heat outside. While the house had three, none adequately did so. The entire upstairs was hot, as two were simply feeding back into the rooms. The downstairs vented into, and partially back out of, the fireplace. It still took the temperature down. A proper install could make the place a '10'.
