    Good location for touristing

    Large, good tourist location

    The hot pools are a little dated and it was impossible to book a spa treatment so we did that off site

    Only stay here if you're OK with the smell of smoke

    The location was good and the hot spring facilities were nice (if dated).

    - The entire hotel smelt strongly of smoke. As in, it permeated every nook and cranny. Someone smoked next to us in a lift. Our room smelt so badly of smoke that we asked to swap rooms and were told that every room was smoking, except the suite (which would have cost us 1000Y to upgrade to). Granted, this is partly on me for not checking that they had non-smoking rooms. But even then, allowing smoking in every area is not a given. And the choice to have soft furnishings means that the smoke smell lingers everywhere. - The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. It was like cardboard. - The decor was very dated. This isn't much of an issue to me in and of itself, but when combined with the smoking it just felt a bit grim. I don't like to leave negative reviews but this was my honest experience. It was so bad that we checked out early and paid for another hotel. If you're a smoker, this hotel would be okay. For everyone else, probably not.

    Decent stay for Mount Emei

    Close to Baoguo Temple from where you can hike up Mount Emei, or get a bus. The staff let me keep my baggage there for 2 nights while I was up the mountain. Good buffet breakfast. Helpful staff.
