    So wünscht man sich eine Lodge

    Wir wurden von einer sehr netten Gastgeberin empfangen. Der Bungalow lag am Hang und war über eine überdachte Holzbrücke zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war nett eingerichtet. Toll war das Esszimmer im Haupthaus, in dem es sowohl das Frühstuck, als auch das Abendessen gab und von wo aus man einen tollen Blick auf den See hatte. Frühstück und Abendessen waren lecker - man muss sich aber darauf einstellen, dass man keine andere Möglichkeit hat, als dort zu essen (es gibt keine Karte, man wird gefragt, was man mag), denn das nächste Restaurant ist Stunden Fahrzeit entfernt.

    I had a great time!

    I booked my stay in April 2026, right before the ownership of Eagle‘s Nest changed, and I am so glad I did! What originally was planned to be just a stop along the way to Bella Coola turned out to be a real treat. Diane takes really good care of her guests, the food is amazing (definitely do breakfast and dinner!), the location is serene, quiet and beautiful, there is lots to do and discover in the area, and the main building (lounge/library, fireplace room, dining room etc) is just so tastefully decorated and welcoming, I spent most of my evenings there with a glass of wine. The guest rooms are a bit dated, but spacious, and the bed was very comfortable - I very much enjoyed my 3 nights stay and would love to come back again.
