Bare bones chic at Manhattan prices

Lovely to be in an old building and in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of space and sunlight. Location required a little walking but soon got me into very appealing streets. I was able to walk to almost all of my multiple destinations in central Portland. Had I stayed longer, I could see that the kitchen was well equipped.

Space heating for a cold climate like Maine is not desirable. I never figured out how the wall heaters worked. However, once I discovered it, the big heater in the dining room kept me toasty but it was only 50 degrees outside. Claims that this place was 5 star were totally overblown. While the remodel made the place comfortable, the selection of the cheapest Home Depot hardware was not a selling point. Overall choice of thrift store furniture reminded me of grad student days, not luxury. Worst, the price was a lot more than I have paid in much more expensive cities.
