    This place is so good we named a cocktail after it

    East Lodge Chillingham is a little gem, we would like it to stay a hidden gem, but that would be very selfish. Hosts are superb, helpful, friendly and hugely informative. The location is magical. The castle, parkland, grounds, cattle... we risking never being able to find a gap in the booking diary to visit again but truthfuly we loved it all. This place is simply so good we invented and named a cocktail in its honour.

    Fantastic place to stay. Very interesting and novel. We enjoyed relaxing around the lodge and visiting the castle and local area. Very good coms with the owner who was very attentive and proactive with checking that all was well.

    Best booking.com or Airbnb stay I have ever ever had

    Once in a lifetime experience, absolutely wonderful. The highlight of our trip. Max was so extremely responsive and made us welcome at the Castle. We even got to live out out childhood dreams and play in a secret garden in the castle grounds. Honestly just like stepping into history, the eccentricity and the history is all part of the draw. I can’t wait to come back
