Kathryn was from the first message so friendly and informative giving us all the information we required. She was so approachable and kind. Super communication. We brought our mother who turned 80 during our stay she loved her room which was an annex across the courtyard from us. The kitchen in the main house was well equipped The shower was spacious the laundry room was handy for drying our swimming gear. The house is in a Fabulous location great for those very mobile and for those not so mobile. Excellent instructions on how to locate it too. Super recycling facilities so closeby and supermarket pharmacy restaurants and boutique shops. Its a beautiful looking house and so quiet with a lovely peaceful courtyard. We would love to return.
The futon style bed upststairs had a comfy matress but for older guets was difficult to get up out of! The garden furniture consisted of metal slatted chairs lovely for breakfast but we found them so uncomfortable for a long lunch or dinner. We expected sun loungers however there were 4 deck chairs not comfy when you want to sit and read a book or stay for a long period in them. Though We had fun helping eachother get up from using them. The seating inside the kitchen consisted of a very small table and metal garden chairs again quite uncomfy There was a long sitting area (bench like) in the cinema room/sitting room/kitchen area which had cushions on it you could sit there but face the wall where the projector was on . We were lucky we had good weather and did not use the inside so much apart from to seep. The courtyard was great though for breakfast.

Hydra is beautiful. We’d love to return but unfortunately not at Ecloge.
The location was great, the property was spotless and the kitchen was well equipped.
The air conditioning made an awful lot of noise for little benefit particularly on the top floor which was always really hot. The beds weren’t particularly comfortable and the sheets although clean seemed quite old and used. The toiletries provided were just half used bottles presumably from previous guests. My 11 year old daughter found the property a bit creepy and we found it a bit underwhelming. The stair situation is very precarious as the bannister is simply a hand rail with no sides whatsoever leaving ample room for little children to fall down to the floor below and hit a rock hard floor. There is no way this would ever pass building regulations in the UK. Overall it just seemed quite overpriced but with a bit more effort could be much nicer.
