The location was fabulous for getting onto the Isle of Skye via the bridge. Did this several days and it allowed us to really explore this amazing island. However, there were plenty of mainland areas to visit too, so no issue if high winds close the bridge. The cottage bedrooms were spacious, with loads of storage, nicely decorated, with really comfy beds. The bathroom was really lovely, with the best shower ever! Amazing pressure. Good lounge with a big sofa. Plenty of space for a family of 3. Quiet little village, with great views over the Loch. So handy for walking to the Castle to visit during the day (& avoid car parking issues). However, the highlight for us was that you could access all the Castle grounds at night without any of the tourists. Made for a magical experience.

The oven in the kitchen really needs an upgrade. It was old/rusty inside, and we found the smell from it tainted the food taste and lingered in the kitchen area longxafter use. The fencing was old and rotten in places on the decking area. The owners obviously use the cottage. It would enhance the appearance of the cottage if they decorated the boarded off loft area. Fix these bits and this would be a 10 / 10.

Quiet, comfortable cottage near the lake.

It was hard to find a good restaurant.
