    Apart from the view, disappointing.

    The location was amazing, right beside the castle walls.

    We were cold the whole time we were there. We finally worked out the heating system but whilst the radiators in the kitchen and hallway did eventually warm up the ones in the living room, dining room and my bedroom did not. The water in the shower in my bathroom was either freezing cold or scalding hot and went back and forth with cold being the most prevalent. Thank goodness we did not have any children with us. Having grown up in St Andrews I know that these old houses can be temperamental and I may have become spoiled living in the States for many years but I really question whether the owners actually do want to let this apartment out, I have never seen so many rules and regulations in my life.

    Fabulous

    Really beautiful apartment, in a fabulous location The welcome pack and fresh flowers were much appreciated

    A personal preference really but we felt the beds twin room were too soft, also the lighting in that room is quite dim, a brighter main ceiling bulb would help

    Old world charm, with modern luxuries, steps away from history!!

    The location was PERFECT! The pictures do not capture how beautiful this place is. The walk is steep, so book a ride from the train station. The check is was very easy. Great communication with pictures to show exactly how to get in. They had fresh flowers, fruits and shortbreads, coffee and the cutest little jug of milk to greet us! The beds were comfy with lovely down comforters! Everything was very clean! The show and bathtub was HEAVENLY! The water pressure is soooooo good. My kids loved it there. Steps away from the castle and camera Obscura!! I seriously cannot think of a single negative thing to say except the hill to get there but really that was everywhere in Edinburgh, and part of its charm!! The neighbors were so very sweet!! If you are on the fence just book here, you will not regret it!!
