This is the worst experience for a property rental booking my family and I had. My family of 10 are scheduled to attend a wedding in Mississauga on June 13th traveling from the US. I booked and payed in full the property months in advance, like March or April for 3 days: June 11-14. Days or weeks before, Grace, the property owner/host already emailed me the check in details: the pass code to the door key and the internet password on the property and other check-in details and house rules. The check in time was 4pm on June 11th. What a real shock and disappointment to receive an email message 3-4 hours prior to our check- time on the 11th saying our booking was canceled. I called Grace and asked who canceled it and why. She said she doesn't know. She instructed us to call Booking.com instead saying they will help provide us a similar property to rent and help with our needs. We called Booking.com and inquired what happened and why our booking was canceled. Upon investigation, they traced that it was Grace herself who called them to cancel our booking an hour earlier saying our booking was a mistake; that the property was for rent for a minimum of 28 days. I was frantic and furious. Why did she confirm my booking if renting us the property was a mistake. It sucked. Where will my family stay now given the short notice. Booking.com tried to give us a list of hotels that meet our number but they were more expensive and far from the wedding site. BEWARE booking this property. Grace is a liar and has no decency treating customers and would-be occupants like us. She should be banned from posting her property for short lease/ rental on Booking.com and other property rental sites. For the inconvenience and additional cash burden in renting another property for my family on such a short notice, we thought that we should have been compensated. Booking.com did refund us the whole amount for the booking.

Very nice, spacious, comfortable, sufficient restrooms. Easy to control temperature of home.
Comfortable sleeps
Had to purchase own laundry wash and dishware

Great value and location for family
The house was nice, the owner was very prompt and very quick in fixing issues or other questions we had
This was the case with us where the bathroom sink was partially clogged but the owner was extremely swift with getting it fixed and made us happy

I don't recommend this house at all. The worst house I've ever stayed at
We liked the house it was nice, and nice backyard, but host was horrible
The host was very unprofessional. The code he sent to access the key didn’t work, so he met us at the door and began interrogating us. He mentioned a cop neighbor and insisted we be “really quiet” but wouldn’t answer when quiet hours actually start. He also failed to mention that his nephews live in the basement — not listed anywhere. At 8 PM, while we waited for friends and listened to music, one nephew showed up, gave me the phone, and the host started aggressively yelling, threatening to kick us out. Everyone felt uncomfortable, but we stayed calm and had no more issues that night. Around midnight, my friend vomited but cleaned up thoroughly, used one towel to clean himself, and showered. All dirty towels were placed in the washing machine (not started). At 9:30 AM — well before the 11 AM checkout — the host called saying cleaners (really his nephews) were waiting. We were packing up and had cleaned up (pizza boxes, bottles, etc.). One nephew found the used towel and a blanket, called the host, and refused to let us leave. He demanded $500 for cleaning. I reminded him that a cleaning fee was already included, and he backed off. Then he asked us to leave something worth $500 as a "deposit" and come back to pay later. I refused. When the host arrived, he screamed at me, said the floor was ruined from being sticky, and claimed a towel cost $500. When my friend said you can buy the same towel at Dollarama for $2, the host told him to "shut the f*** up." I recorded everything. When the host wouldn’t let us leave, I called the police. After a 20-minute call, he told us to leave his property, threatening to call the police himself for trespassing. If you enjoy paying $750 for a night of threats and drama — this place is for you. Otherwise, avoid at all costs.
