The area was great, could not fault it, Good time was experienced.
The location is second to none. Excellent area (Dorsodoro). I have stayed in this area many times, once before at this location even. The property also has a roof space which is great for relaxing or even drying clothes. The views are also very good from every window. It is truly a great area all round. Everything was clean and plenty of linen, towels, toilet roll etc were provided.
Sadly the apartment did not provide the facilities that were advertised. Given we only chose it for the washing (clothes) facilities it was disappointing to find that the door mechanism of the washing machine had been removed. So it could not be used. For those staying a few days it may not be important but we were doing a 3 week trip and bought less clothes so for us it was a must. There wasn't an iron either but after raising it we did have one bought to us a couple of days later (thank you). We had to wash the clothes by hand - which was okay as such but not what you go on holiday for or should have had to do if like us you chose the apartment because it had a washing machine. (I have asked the management company to adjust the facilities list accordingly). I was more upset about the fact that it was known the washing machine was unserviceable but we were not told. How long it had been like it I don't know but the management company said they were unaware, meaning the owners had not told them. So if you are expecting a washing machine please confirm with the letting agency there is one, and if you don't there are other options around this (fantastic) area which, because it doesn't have that facility, could cost a lot less. Asked if I would stay there again I have said no. It would seem that the 'part' for the washing machine was being sought and difficult to get..... I would worry that any other facilities (airconditioning, fridge/freezer, cooker etc) may also pack up and given that we weren't told about the washer then would it be the same? So, I have lost trust. Sorry this is a long explanation under the heading of what I didn't like but for us it was a significant issue.

Great place. Will love to stay again.
There are so many things to like but foremost has to be the location, but let's mention some of the others first! The apartment was spotless and well equipped. The balcony is a bonus and every window a great view. Everything worked too! Aircon, wi-fi etc. On to the location. Superb. Not just because you are surrounded by great restaurants and coffee bars, independent shops and more but because Dorsoduro is, without doubt, the most underestimated area of the six Sestiere. Campo Santa Margherita itself is one of the best areas for restaurants in one place but they are good too, as are the bars. You also have Campo San Barnaba where Summertime (1955) saw Hepburn fall into the canal and Harrison Ford emerged from the catacombs in Raiders of the Lost Ark as well as being a stones through from the Ca Rezzonico ... It's also great because you can leave the hoards around San Marco and sink back into the (relative) peace of less tourists. Highly recommended.
It was all good!
