Impossible location unless you are a hiker or a goat!
We didn't actually stay. So I've given average scores for things not used. We arrived but immediately rebooked. Our first impressions of the room was ok, though we didn't inspect it. The host was very welcoming and disappointed we weren't staying. We did pay for the booking, however, the location was impossible for us. This is not mentioned in the description. We made the owner and booking.com aware of this.
Unfortunately the access to the property is very difficult. It is high up a steep mountain. You need to be a goat to access it. The tuk tuks cannot get to the property. They have to stop 100ft below. Then there is a dirt track and random stones to climb up. There is another way up/ down to the lane which has some step steps but still on a dirt path, and still high up the mountain. This was impossible with luggage. We immediately searched and rebooked another place in the centre of Ella. It resulted in lost time and disrupted our plans.

Family is ever so friendly and helpful. They even sowed ripped shorts for me. Massive room Comfortable beds Terrace area is big, table, chairs and deckchairs a and had a power socket near the table Shampoo and shower gel in big bottles Hot water is fast Good breakfast and dinner

Do not recommend - Misleading location!
The food that our host cooked for us was quite nice.
- Overall, DO NOT recommend as the host was unreachable, the room was very average and the location was far. - The location given is incorrect, it's 3 kms away and far from the city. Tuk tuks will not go there and it's very difficult to commute. We had to walk up the road in the evening which was quite scary as there are no streetlights. Or you will be dependent on the host to always arrange transportation. - No food options near the stay. - On day 2, we were told that the payment had to be made in cash. We assumed that it was paid via our card. When we asked for a card option, we were told that an additional charge would be placed on it. - No mosquito nets in the room and there are small insects like cockroaches, etc that will enter.

Au calme dans la montagne
Tout! L'accueil de notre hôte était formidable. La chambre est très grande, propre et très bien agencée. La terrasse est grande et calme. Le petit déjeuner était excellent et notre hôte nous a servi deux soirs un excellent repas! L'hôtel se trouve a 6 minutes en scooter/tuktuk du centre de Ella, et est cependant bien loin de la ville si animée. Vraiment, un excellent séjour, merci à notre hôte !!

Goed ontbijt en aardige gastvrouw. Had altijd koffie of thee klaar staan als we terug kwamen
