    The stunning interior makes a stay an experience to remember

    From the outside this hotel is nothing special but the inside is something else! This is a Art Noveau / Arts and crafts gem. The bar and hall are especially nice and the bold decoration in the halls and rooms is stunning.

    Having been overwhelmed by the interior we were brought back to reality at breakfast which was the standard corporate Hilton fayre. Eggs that had clearly been under a heat lamp and "smashed avocado" from a jar or can. Pass on the breakfast and find a good local cafe instead.

    Lovely hotel, excellent breakfast, walkable to centre of York

    Great hotel in York, within walking distance of the centre. The building itself was quite amazing. Really nice room, clean and comfortable. Our room was at the back of the hotel so was nice and quite. The hotel staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast was excellent. There is a small car park at the back of the hotel which we were lucky to get a space in, but it looked like there were also plenty of spaces in the car park opposite which can be used by hotel guests. We were also lucky to get a parking space by one of the hotel's EV charging points and it was easy to use as it is compatible with Electroverse.

    Underwhelming

    The rooms were good however our experience in the restaurant for dinner was poor. It was the complete opposite of how they promoted and communicated to me. My partner and I didn’t eat our meal. Simply put I could of prepared a better meal. Unfortunately what they promoted and what we got was the complete opposite.

    Good as I said above.
