An excellent hotel to study Pemba.
Very good all inclusive : excellent food, not expensive wine, boat to reach beaches
1. Absence of local beach. 2. GSM worked only for Zanzibar' SIM cards. Vodacom Tanzania was not available around the hotel.

Bon séjour, prévoir des visites dans l’île sinon il n’y a rien autour de l’hôtel
Spacieux, rooftop très agréable, personnel avenant et très serviable, vue magnifique, piscine et très beau jardin. Les repas sont excellents et très bien préparés
La plage n’est en réalité qu’une bande de sable à 200 m de l’établissement qui est un point de départ de bateau et qui n’est qu’autre que la jonction avec les mangroves à marée basse. On ne peut qualifier ça de plage au sens du terme européen

We left our hearts at Emerald Bay
Emerald Bay Resort - a relaxed casual intimate resort hidden away from view at the southern tip of Pemba Island - an absolute paradise. The rooms are comfortable with a spacious bathroom and excellent hot water shower. There is a good size swimming pool set in beautiful landscaped gardens - a ideal place to spend a lazy afternoon! All dining is on the roof top terrace - dinners are delicious with lots of fresh seafood caught locally. All the usual breakfast foods available plus GREAT pancakes and local doughnuts! All staff absolutely super friendly and helpful. We were met by Luca who hosted us throughout our stay and we were warmly welcomed into the Emerald Bay family. Luca took us out on the boat (dhow) each day to the amazing pristine white sand banks and turquoise warm sea - totally magical and relaxing. Emerald Bay is truly a genuinely special place, out of the tourist hot spots and absolutely in tune with nature and the location. We loved our stay. Thank you to Luca and Raphael for creating the perfect finale to our East African adventure.
Nothing! Just a note - Emerald Bay Resort is situated about an hour's drive from the airport and could be tricky to find if you are driving yourself.
