The chalet, the activities and the atmosphere of the accomodation.
No shelter for our cars. When it rains or storm then our cars are not protected in anyway, judging from the weather in Vereeniging.

Chalets are great for a family break. The resort is di from an event point of view.
The Chalets are nice, clean and comfortable. The location of the chalets and distance to travel to the Arena is not ideal for the event we attended. There was an attempted hi-jacking on route from the chalets which question the overall safety during the stay in the resort. The chalets are a good option if you are looking for a relaxing weekend and are not attending events at the Arena, especially with several sessions requiring travel between the Arena and the Chalets. The rating of the chalets should be separated from the overall rating off the rest of the resort and the Arena.
The distance and travel from the Chalets to the Arena is not ideal. The main disappointment is the rest of the facilities and Arena function venue. The Arena had several broken tiles lying all over, from the entrance to the back rooms which was the holding areas for kids. This is a high risk as someone could get seriously injured. The bathrooms in the Arena were dirty, toilets leaking and equipment failing. The food served in the Arena was sub-standard to say the least with no consideration for cultural or religious diversity. The chairs provided for the audience were filthy! After a lengthy wait at one of the local restaurants, Capello's we were served rotten Haloumi, cold malva pudding (which was given as substitute for Chocolate Lava Cake without discussing with us). The restaurants could not accommodate the number of guests during the weekend and the timelines and most of the fast-food venues were closed for renovation. It became very clear it was easier and better value for money to travel outside the resort for food than to eat at the resort.
