I discovered this guesthouse while researching for a trip to China a few years ago, but never got the chance to visit Beijing at the time. So when I finally made it to Beijing this year, I booked this place straight away, and it absolutely did not disappoint! We took a DiDi from downtown Beijing and decided to stay for two nights as a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of the city. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. This is a family-run guesthouse, and from the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with so much warmth and genuine hospitality. The lady, who I assume is one of the owners, even gave me a hug as if we had known each other for years! Most communication was through WeChat, which made it very easy to ask for anything we needed. They also dropped us off at the Great Wall and picked us up afterwards free of charge. This section of the Great Wall is truly unique and breathtaking. There are many things to see and do in the area where you can buy all the tickets at the ticket office. It wasn't too crowded either, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The wild section of the Wall is right behind the guesthouse if you are up for some adventure. Breakfast was so generous that we could never finish it all, and we almost felt guilty about leaving so much behind! There's also a restaurant and a café on site, and the food was delicious. A small local grocery shop is just a few minutes' walk away in the nearby village, which is well worth exploring. If you'd like more dining and shopping options, there are additional shops and restaurants near the Great Wall entrance. We also booked a sunset picnic for two on the Great Wall, and it was such a special experience. The owner himself carried everything up and arranged the entire setup for us, even taking photos for us while we were there. It was clear how much care he put into making the experience memorable.

The staff really make us fell like home, they drove us to the nearby Great Wall and provide a lot of useful travel infor
Very friendly and helpful staff and they are always there when we need help. A great location for 3 different sections of Great Wall, worth spending a few days here.
Not at all.

Lovely place, lovely food
As other reviews have said... Delicious food... Our best breakfast so far in China! Friendly, helpful people, lovely decor.
We liked everything but would want to say that the afternoon tea was disappointing. At just over £100 we expected an afternoon tea and I did look at all the photos of it...my fault as the photos did show very basic tiny packets of nibbles, all very sweet which we didnt eat. I thought this could have been some staged pics. The pizza we got tasted lovely but we only ate half as it wasnt cooked underneath so very doughy. I justified the price to myself because we saw bottles of wine in the pics and know its expensive.. Sadly we didnt get a bottle of wine. We did get a couple of glasses of home made wine which i loved but my husband didnt like it as he was expecting wine with his afternoon tea. None of this takes away from a score of 10. It was lovely sitting on the wall, and watching the sun set. It was good to be taken there and have it laid out for us. But the contents of the afternoon tea for the price was disappointing.
