The location
This was honestly the worst place I have ever stayed in, despite having travelled to many different places around the world. I am also a high-level Booking.com customer, so I have stayed in many different types of accommodation, but this experience was by far the most disappointing. The only positive thing I can say is the location. Apart from that, there were several serious issues. First of all, there is a camera directly in front of the main entrance, which made us feel uncomfortable and as if we were being watched whenever we entered or left the apartment. This significantly affected our feeling of privacy and comfort during the stay. We also had an unpleasant experience regarding noise. The owner accused us of being the ones making noise, when in fact the noise was coming from the neighbours. It was frustrating to be blamed for something we were not responsible for. The building itself is very old and feels quite unsafe and creepy. The stairs are in poor condition, and some of the steps felt like you could easily lose your balance or fall. This is not something I would expect from accommodation advertised to guests. On top of that, we experienced multiple occasions where there was no running water in the apartment, which is completely unacceptable, especially when paying to stay somewhere. Overall, I would not recommend this place. The location is the only real advantage, but unfortunately that is nowhere near enough to compensate for the lack of comfort, privacy, safety and basic facilities. Definitely the worst accommodation experience I have had in my travels, and I would not stay here again.
