Could be luxury, but alot of basics missed that made it feel just ok.
Location of property was lovely. Quiet with a lovely view. Nicely laid out.
Issues raised with owner during our stay:. The door handle on the right hand entry to kitchen is difficult (nearly impossible)to turn. All of us (myself, both kids, and my almost 80 year old mother got stuck in the kitchen at various times, requiring multiple attempts(extending up to 20 mins) to get us out. There are only 2 teaspoons - hugely impractical. There was a lack of enough saucepans, oven trays were dirty and greasy, all 3 frying pans were dirty, burnt and unusable (photos attached). There was not enough crockery to cater for 5 people - without having to run the dishwasher multiple times a day. There is alot of paint on the back of the backlit downstairs bathroom mirror - just looks untidy/careless. No plugs near any mirrors and no mirrors in any of the bedrooms. This is a major hassle for female guests Outside area dangers - including trip hazards and rusty exposed nails (photos attached). Visible damp and smell of damp in downstairs bedroom next to The Duvets were too small for the beds - only meeting the edge of the bed, with no overlap. It just made sleep unnecessarily broken. All in all - for the first 5 minutes of entering the property - it feels like a lovely get away.... unfortunately the negatives start to arise quickly. We sent these issues to the owner whilst we were staying at the property but got no response.
